Andy Williams

Andy is our award winning Winemaker who holds a bachelor degree in Science (Wine Science) from Charles Sturt University.

He also holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 and Level 3 certificates in wines and spirits, and has received training in the techniques and practices of wine show judging at the Advanced Wine Assessment Course.

A local legend, Andy also spent 21 years as a Criminal Detective with the QLD Police!

Hidden Creek's vision for the Queensland Wine Industry is to collectively embrace wine marketing and education strategies to enhance and promote the reputation and success of Queensland wines – this can only be achieved by making world class wines reflective of our climate, soil type and topography, of which we do in spades. Just some of the awards for winemaking at Hidden Creek over the past year:

Master of Wine and Co-Owner, Andrew Corrigan

Andrew Corrigan MW

Andrew Corrigan MW leads the group of friends who formed a consortium and bought Hidden Creek back in 2005. 

Andrew became a Master of Wine in 1997, one of only 400 in the world - The MW Certification is recognised as the highest achievement in the global wine community. 

Currently President of the Queensland Wine Industry Association, Andrew writes regular wine columns for a range of newspapers and magazines and presents a wine and food programme on ABC radio. He judges at various wine shows and is a Chair and Panel Chair.

Andrew also consults widely in the fields of liquor retailing, restaurants and hotels covering property management, marketing, staff training and operations. An experienced Civil Engineer and Builder, he is also an expert witness in the field of commercial building construction and civil engineering and is a Tribunal Member in the building and engineering section of the Queensland Civil Administrative Tribunal.

Wine Club and Sales Representative

Connor Armstrong

We are excited to have Connor Armstrong join us at Hidden Creek Winery as our latest Wine Club and Sales Representative, bringing a wealth of enthusiasm and expertise to our team.

Equipped with a Diploma in Business, Connor is currently pursuing Level 2 in Wine Spirit Education Certification (WSET) and aims to attain his Level 4 Diploma in Wines. His journey in the wine industry spans over two years, during which he has honed his skills in various facets, including working in an award-winning cellar and managing the bar at a boutique wine establishment. Connor’s most recent role involved setting up wine cellars in clients' homes, further solidifying his commitment and growing expertise in the wine sector.

We are excited to have Connor onboard at Hidden Creek, where he is eager to continue his wine journey and play a pivotal role in showcasing the unique qualities of our award-winning Queensland wines. His blend of experience, knowledge, and fervor for wine perfectly aligns with our mission at Hidden Creek. We warmly welcome Connor and look forward to his contributions in sharing our winery's distinct story and flavours with wine enthusiasts around the globe.
